Nude to launch new collections with
Defne Koz and Tomas Kral
during Milan Design Week.
From 4th – 9th April, during Milan Design Week 2017, Istanbul-based global design brand Nude will unveil brand new collections of glassware by three esteemed designers against the Baroque backdrop of Palazzo Litta.
Amsterdam-based Italian design duo Studio Formafantasma, industrial designer Defne Koz and Swiss-based talent Tomas Kral will unveil fresh designs adding to Nude’s contemporary eating, drinking and living collections. All will be displayed in a bespoke setting created by Studio Formafantasma.
Ranging from expertly-crafted decorative objects and statement tableware to softly-shaped lighting, Nude’s vast portfolio of glassware is continuously honoured with industry accolades, most recently the reputable Red Dot Award, Design Plus, German Design Award, Wallpaper* Design Award and IF.
Studio Formafantasma’s “Stained” collection comprises of a jug and an assortment of serving plates and containers, all of which emphasise the craft of mouthblown glass with flashes of coloured pigment.
Also by Studio Formafantasma is “Hand, Handle, Handled”, a jug, container and serving plate with an overstated handle join which frames the subtle imperfections of its artisanal production, highlighting the proud fact that the object is handmade.

Turkish born, Italian-trained Defne Koz has created two collections for Nude; “Layers” a coloured glass vase made up of three overlapped shapes and “Foresta”, a series of candleholders resembling a glass forest, mounted together on a single base.

Following the success of Tomas Kral’s previous collaborations with Nude, including his award-winning “Blow Lamp”, Kral reveals a new playful and exotic jug and tumbler set entitled “Parrot”. Also on display will be Kral’s geometrical “Beak” and ruffled rim “Lady” jug and tumbler sets, which recently launched at Paris fair, Maison & Objet.
